dc Talk’s third studio album, Free at Last, took the CCM market by storm in November of 1992.
The album evolved the musical and lyrical maturity of the group. Keven Max and Michael Tait had carried the group as with vocals on the previous two dc Talk albums. On Free at Last the group put out an album that not only gather attention with it’s hip hop flavor, yet TobyMac provide he was at the top of his game with his second to know production ability. The album melded together slick, deep hip-hop beats with amazing vocals by Kevin and Michael with Toby delivering the rap lyrics.
The album has sold over a million copies and considered one the best hip hop CCM albums of all time.
